Practice Matches
This Sunday the 10th concludes our practice matches. Some are played at home, some at Canterbury/Surrey Hills & Rathmines Reserve. You should have received clarification by now of your teams details. If you’re not too sure where & when please contact your Team Managers for guidance.
Sharks Seniors Kickoff
This Saturday the 9th the Sharks Senior Club commence their season. Best of luck to all Teams.
As a part of their season launch, they are holding a lunch from 11.30am at Domeney. Tickets are $60 each. Please call Colin 0409 047 694 or Jeremy 0409 864 910 to book. Special guest speaker for the day is none other than Legend – Dougie Hawkins
PONRPJFC Season Kickoff
Round one commences Sunday 17 April!
All teams have been training hard & it’s great to see members of the junior family teams coming together. Please remember the first 4 rounds are grading as per the YJFL requirements.
Your Team Managers will inform you of location & times for your first match. However if you want a sneak preview of the first two matches, I believe they are up on the YJFL Website.
Burger Night
Round 1 see’s our first burger night at Domeney at 5.30. There are only three for the year, please check out the calendar. Also, keep in mind our adult functions…the Trivia night on 4th June & Cocktail function on the 23rd July. Your attendance is required for nights of enjoyment. Burger night will provide plenty of activities for all and Mum’s a night off from cooking. Please come along and enjoy great fellowship, food, drinks & THE RAFFLE with great prizes for all who buy a burger, snag or schnitzel. The canteen will be open as well.
The under 13’s are responsible for the night for cooking the BBQ’s, cooking the schnitzel’s and manning the canteen. This is a variant from previous years (canteen & schnitzel) but we’ll help you out. This will be confirmed with all at the Team managers meeting this coming Tuesday.
Nina will have Merchandise available on the night. There after please order online.
Training 2016
Our Director of Football (Mark) is in the process of finalising days, times & grounds for all teams during the season for a permanent basis of training. This has been in consultation with your coaches. All year levels will commence training as a united year level before breaking into individual teams later during training time slots.
Team App
Hopefully, you’ve all signed up to the Sharks Team App, if not please do so today. Going forward this will become our major form of communication regarding matches, locations, updates etc…
If you’re not sure how to get on board & join, please consult with your Team Managers.
Youth Girls Ambassador
We are still needing someone to take up the challenge to liaise & create youth girls teams for 2017. We really want to create this interaction for the sisters/cousins/friends of our boys who play in the YJFL League & would love to see this come to fruition as we have been requested by others to make this our club’s next exciting step forward.
Auskick
For all our Prep’s to U8’s, Auskick will commence at Stintons Reserve on Saturday 16th. For enrolment please contact Damien Noonan at noons@internode.on.net or 0414 586 114.
