President’s Report – November 2023

I’d firstly like to thank all returning committee members from 2023 and new members for 2024. It’s not lost on me the fantastic contribution you’re making to the Sharks community and I’m looking forward to building friendships and continuous improvement to the club in the future.

As president my focus will be on three things: Community, Development and enabling our kids and members of the club to Thrive. There are many initiatives that are being discussed to support all three.

Some current key initiatives being scoped and planned are:

Community

  • 2024 season launch showcasing sponsors, club leaders and talent

Development

  • Coaching capability program with a supporting age specific playbook including coaching goals, skill and game development, supporting training drills, one on one support with an elite coach and a relaunched WhatsApp coaching community.
  • Clarity for how the club best elevates our talent into pathway programs such as the Eastern Ranges

Thrive

  • Several thrive nights centred around wellbeing, career and nutrition

The expectations for our committee meetings are that they are not a ‘show and tell’. I appreciate everyone does a lot of ‘one percenters’ but we don’t have time to cover. Please preread the reports and bring to the committee any high level relevant information, actions or decisions that need to be made.

Go Sharks!! ❤️🤍🖤🦈

Cheers Trav
