2015 Club Captain Tom Holmes with AFL CEO Gillon McLauchlan

2015 Club Captain Tom Holmes with AFL CEO Gillon McLauchlan

Hi All Sharks,

Wishing you all a Happy Easter and I look forward to another fun year.

Round 1 – Sunday 12 April 2015!

Round 1 is here, so let’s get ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!!! Well not some much rumble, but get out and play???? You know what I mean.

Behaviour

Just on rumbling piece, each year I reinforce the Club’s expectation around player, parent and spectator behaviour. There is a Code of Conduct, please ensure you have read it and abide by it. The Sharks name is held high by the league in terms of its administration and professionalism, a reflection of our player and parent behaviour. One bad act taints us all, so just remember this is kids sport and it’s all about them, so enjoy each week and support your players, the team helpers and the club.

Register – Please!

Our registrations continue to grow – so THANK YOU! As we move to Round 1 we need to ensure we abide the YJFL By-Laws and Regulations. So to that end, if you have been training and not yet registered you are ineligible to play. You can register now and pay later, but you must be registered in order to meet our liabilities. Happy to discuss.

Consent, Code of Conduct and Medical Form!

Every player registering with the Sharks for Season 2015 – new or returning – is required to complete this form prior to season commencement. All parents and players are to familiarise themselves with the content, and then complete, sign and deliver this form to your Team Manager prior to Round 1. The forms are available from our website sharksjfc.org.au/members/registration.

Merchandise

The Club has moved to a new line of merchandise in Season 2015, with new items including raincoats, spray jackets, t-shirts, flat caps and sling bags. Word on the street is “these are way cool”. All queries or requests for merchandise can be made through Nina Foxwell our Merchandise Manager.

Sponsorship

The Sharks Junior Football Club offers up a number of different sponsorship packages for consideration each year. Whilst your registration fees help us to function, they don’t get us all the way to the line. So if you are interested in sponsoring the club, refer to the attached information sheet there is a wealth of information to guide you through.
