And then there was one! To the Under 12 Black, what a great effort. Premiers last year, up a Division this year and still made to a Preliminary Final. Well done all and see you for a third go in Season 2015!
Grand Final – This Sunday!
Our Under 12 Red have made through to the Grand Final, and with an AFL Grand Finalist at the helm preparation should not be an issue – Good luck boys, enjoy the experience! Good numbers again last Sunday. If ever your presence was needed it is this week; here are Sunday’s game details:

This weekend marks a local derby for our Senior Club who come up against a new foe in the Warrandyte Football Club in a knockout Preliminary Final this Saturday. Congratulations to the POFC Reserves who have made it through to the Grand Final the following weekend. The details of this week’s game are:Park Orchards Football Club Finals – This Weekend!

In a close knit neighbouring communities, it would be reasonably accepted that there are strong associations between members of our Sharks Junior Football Club and the Warrandyte Football Club. So much so, that on Sunday I noticed a blurring of these associations, with some of our Sharks Junior Club players barracking for Forest Hill Football Club at the seniors final last Sunday.
In no way do I want to impact these association or influence peoples (especially young children’s) support, but what I would ask is that if you are torn between your support of the Sharks or the Bloods this weekend that you and/or your children consider not wearing your Sharks colours, so not to create confusion or any perception of dissension towards our football club. Happy to discuss.
Presentation Day – Sunday 14 September 2014!
The Sharks will again hold a Presentation Day at Domeney Reserve. Unlike last season, the day will be divided into three two sessions with the Annual General Meeting occurring at the midway point. Volunteers will be putting on a bbq, lollies and drinks for those attending. Timings:
12.00 – 1.00 Tackers
1.30 – 3.00 Under 10 to 12
3.30 – 5.00 Annual General Meeting, followed by the Under 13 to Colts
Annual General Meeting – Sunday 14 September 2014!
The Park Orchards North Ringwood Annual General Meeting will be held at on Sunday 14 September 2014 at Domeney Reserve, coinciding with the interval of our Presentation Day, commencing 3.30 p.m.
This meeting will discuss such items the years football and financial performance, and it is hoped that we will also identify and vote in new committee members. Any member wishing to agenda items for discussion must do so 14 days prior to the meeting.
Each member eligible to vote is entitled to appoint another member who is eligible to vote as a proxy by notice given to the Secretary no later than 48 hours before the time of the meeting. Proxy forms are available on request via the club President of Secretary.

For those of you who like to plan ahead and you are looking to hold an end of year function for your team at Domeney Reserve, can I ask that you raise this through our Secretary Ondine Lowther for coordination?
