Park Orchards North Ringwood ParishHi All Sharks, I trust all Players, Mums and Dads enjoyed their break over the holidays. I know the committee welcomed the chance to charge their batteries and put their feet up for a few days. Well, hasn’t time flown we are into our last month of home and away games before the finals commence on the 19th August. So much to do, so little time! From our Committee’s point of view, we know the season is fast coming to an end. During the next few weeks, we have our social night, Colts / Life Members Dinner, Team Managers wrap up, Coaches meeting, YJFL Directors/President’s meeting and committee meeting then finals – Phew!!
The last round on 12th August will see our U10s partake in a lightening Premiership run by the YJFL. Go for it U10s, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the day, play well and make the Club proud of your efforts. We look forward to seeing you at our last burger night after it. During the last month it has been great to see the PONRPJFC represented by Players in the YJFL selected teams taking on other leagues.
Well done to our Rep Players who participated in and won their finals. Sunday was the perfect winter footy day. The air had a slight chill but the grounds were dry and a lovely amount of sun was shining. Yes, it was a weak winter sun, however the input by our Sharks was strong. Players turned up with renewed vigour not to mention the well soaked bright white shorts. Thanks mums, well done.
Whilst the scores can be unfair on teams during the year, it’s great to see the ticker shown from the players. Use the rest of the year as a learning curve if the results aren’t going your way and let’s show a united front in 2019. Thank you all parents for the support roles you’re involved in, particularly Team Managers – you are magnificent.

Colts / U18YG & Life Members Dinner – Tuesday 24th July
The transition dinner is for final year players only. The evening is for those players in their last eligible year of junior football. It doesn’t correlate with what team you compete in each week. We have a great guest speaker who will share ways of transitioning from junior to senior and life in general.
The Club will pay for the Player’s food and also Life Members in attendance. Numbers need to be confirmed by 20th July. Parents are encouraged to attend however, will need to pay a nominal $29.00 for a 2 course meal. Drinks are at bar prices.
The event will be held at Club Kilsyth, corner of Canterbury Road and Colchester Roads, Bayswater North.

FINAL ROUND & BURGER NIGHT Sunday 12th August – SPONSORS NIGHT
Our final night for end of home and away season. Great chance to thank all who have helped out and wish those in the finals all the best. A great way for our club to thank all our sponsors for 2018. The club will provide complimentary food and a drink or two as a way of saying thanks. There will be a huge jumping castle on the night. The annual club sprint will go ahead, so coaches please have your nomination to Football Support by 5th August.

Under our constitution, all members are encouraged to attend the short formalities which will be conducted mid-way through presentation. More on the timetable over the coming weeks.
