It’s Finally Here!
The first official Sharks Club practice day is this Sunday. I’m looking forward to seeing all of our champs on the field participating.
The roster of games has been sent out but is included again below for all. Please be at the ground approx 45 minutes before your match with your gold coin donation & a huge smile.
Game times as follows:
- Under 8 & 9 – 8.30am
- Under 10 – 9.30am
- Under 11 – 10.50am
- Under 12 – 11.45am
- Under 13 – 12.40pm
- Under 14 – 2.00pm
- Under 15 – 3.05pm
- Colts – 4.10pm
Registration
We are nearly there, but a few remain yet to register online. Please complete your registration by Sunday. Please also ensure you complete your Medical and Consent Form online. Thanks to the majority who have.

Mouthguards
Gary Linkin has been busy moulding all of the mouthguards and they are now ready for collection. All of the mouthguards will be brought to Kinglake on Sunday and will be available for collection in the club room behind the stand.
Season Opener – Round 1
17th April sees our first round of the season for all teams. The year ahead looks great with 4x Under 8’s all the way to our Colts.
Our goal is to have as many Sharks as possible play & participate every week.
It also kicks off our first Burger night from 5.30pm. Come along & enjoy with plenty of food, drinks & of course plenty of raffle prizes.
Canteen – Stintons
We are looking for an assistant to run for the 15 days during the season. Training & assistance will be happily given. All purchases will be handled by our regular operator (Sam) at Domeney, please let us know or I’ll have to volunteer someone.
Sponsorship
We have had good interest from people wishing to sponsor teams but need plenty more. Please contact me if you are interested & we will have our Sponsorship Co-ordinator contact you to help us keep this great club operating for our kids.
Youth Girls
Our focus is to launch a youth girls’ team or two in 2017, and we are looking for an ambassador to take this role on. It won’t be an onerous role but it is important to us to have this figure head for our girls.

Team App
It’s up & running, please all get on board now.
- Open up the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone, search for “Team App”, and download this App
- In Team App, search for “Sharks Junior Football Club” and select the result (there are a few other clubs listed)
- Enter your details to confirm your membership with the club.
- Once complete, on the right-hand side of the screen select the team your child is in and press continue at the top right of your screen. A screen will appear asking you to provide a reason for requesting access to the selected groups. Press OK and then type in your relevant reason, i.e. “my son is playing in this age group”.
Season Training
Regular training nights are being allocated to teams by Mark Leonard, our Director of Football.
As the Winter tenant this will take effect from the first of April on all our grounds. Your Team Managers will be in touch.
Under 14 Boys
At the conclusion of your match Sunday can we please have 10 minutes with all parents to run through the format of the season. Whilst at times it may be challenging we need you all. Please be in attendance so we can answer queries.
Footy Boots
A number of parents have approached me to say they have footy boots which their son has grown out of but are still perfectly serviceable. As per previous years we are happy to coordinate a “pre-loved boot tub”.
Please bring your surplus footy boots to Kinglake on Sunday and we will provide an area to leave them. For a gold coin donation anyone can take a pair and all proceeds will go to Kinglake.
Any boots left over at the end of the day will be brought to our Burger Night on 17th April at Domeney.
