I trust all players, mums and dads enjoyed their break over the holidays. I know the committee welcomed the chance to charge their batteries and put their feet up for a few days. Well, hasn’t the time flown, we are into our last month of home and away games before the finals commence on the 14th of August. So much to do, so little time!
You will have noticed the front cover of the last ‘Shark Attack’ edition 10. A great photo of some of our Youth Girls we’re recruiting for 2017. Our recruiting is for both youth girls and boys. The Sharks membership is the largest club within Manningham, we would like to target being the largest in Victoria.
Therefore Sharks registration will be open from now until February 2017. At this time YJFL registrations open and fees will then be due. Please pre-register your interest for 2017 now. We offer a pathway for boys all the way to AFL if they are talented enough. Now we can offer the same to all youth girls. Club-wide from Auskick (prep onwards) to U8’s to Colts, Seniors, TAC (Eastern Ranges and Oakleigh Chargers) through to VFL and ultimately AFL (this of course varies slightly for boys and girls pathways)

Eastern Rangers Development Squads
Talented player pathway and development training is available in August/September this year for a number of boys.
The August/September period coincides with the beginning of our Under 15 and Under 16/17 Trial Squads programs along with the AFL Yarra Ranges V-Line Cup Squad. The V-Line Cup is now structured under the AFL Victoria Talent Pathway in line with the TAC Cup Talent Regions. The V-Line Cup program from the Yarra Ranges region is now a partnership with the Eastern Ranges Talent Program. This partnership provides the players from all AFLYR Clubs a definitive pathway into the Eastern Ranges Talent Pathway.

Senior Players, Life Members and Sponsors Dinner – 26th July
PLEASE NOTE: MISPRINT LAST EDITION: The evening will take place on Tuesday 26th July and will see our annual dinner for all our Colts players. We have a great guest speakers this year who will encourage and challenge the boys as they transition in life going forward. More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the date.
Colts Attendance at Auskick – 30th July
To all our young Auskickers, the Colts will be attending and helping to run the day on Saturday morning, 30th July.
Final Round and Burger Night – 7th August
Our final night for end of home and away season. Great chance to thank all who have helped out and wish those in the finals all the best.
AGM and Presentation Night – 11th of September
Under our constitution all members are encouraged to attend the short formalities which will be conducted mid-way through presentation.
Park Orchards Cricket Club
